Golabki is the ULTIMATE comfort food. With a side of potato pierogi, of course!

I make mine with beef, onion, barley and reconstituted Polish dried mushrooms.

I cook them in tomato sauce with cabbage leaves just like you do. It took me a while to get the tomato sauce right, but now I make it with one part vinegar to about four parts tomato sauce, a little mushroom juice and some Maggi. Mix in sour cream before serving and it's heaven!

Oh, I am SO regretting giving up meat for Lent right now!City Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11734832680700090519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7292285026495708432.post-56322041117151740892008-03-05T12:14:00.000-05:002008-03-05T12:14:00.000-05:00Giz- in response to your macaroon question, i woul...Giz- in response to your macaroon question, i would highly recommend the recipe I used...simply combine all of the ingredients and everything pretty much sticks together, form small round balls and flatten slightly (bake for 20 min) easy peasy- Give it a go!Pixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02058251511173537700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7292285026495708432.post-68852516100116000202008-03-05T11:44:00.000-05:002008-03-05T11:44:00.000-05:00These look great! mmmmThese look great! mmmmPixiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02058251511173537700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7292285026495708432.post-81073746990502034882008-03-04T21:55:00.000-05:002008-03-04T21:55:00.000-05:00BAM!
