Passover with Lori Lynn

Lori Lynn from Taste with the Eyes who is once again hosting the Passover Roundup is well known for her love of both family and tradition.

In our last post, we wrote about the tradition of making gefilte fish for this occasion. Here it is being served at our Passover Seder.

One of the reasons for our maintaining a blog is to keep a colour commentary and share family recipes that have been passed down through generations. Although not a direct contributor to the blog, a good number of our recipes are either directly received from babba, the matriarch of our family or an offshoot of many of her recipes.

After all the formalities are done, we settled in to play a crazy game of Apples to Apples that kept everyone laughing for the rest of the evening.

To all our blogging friends who celebrate Easter, our wishes for a meaningful holiday season filled with family, friends and good food. StumbleUpon

Everybody looking at me weirdly when I told them that I like gefilte fish, cause none of my family really like it. But, I don't mind to eat it myself with lot's of horseradish sauce.

I had a great Pesach at our family's friend all of our family live in Israel, LA, New York, and Amsterdam. So, we celebrate Pesach with friends. It was such a wonderful Pesach, I love this holiday, and it is my favorite one. Sadly, I don't seem to be able to participate the event with Lori. I think it's too late, no? I'll definitely will do that next year.

Anyway, your Babba is very beautiful ..
Glad you had wonderful Pesach.
Cheers,
elra

Belated best wishes for a joyous Passover.
I was just discussing Passover with my naturopath this week – she was surprised I knew so much about it – including gefilte fish! (The benefits of reading…)

I enjoy seeing your comments on my blog. No more The Blogging Wagon?

Dear Ladies: thank you so very much for the recognition and headlining with my Passover Round-Up photo. Wow. That was a wonderful way to start my day today. You are so gracious. And how neat that you end your Seder with a game and much laughter, that is awesome!

Babba is an inspiration to me. I have no children, but one day I hope to sit at our Passover table when I'm in my 90's surrounded by nephews and grand nieces and nephews and talk about my recipes and my blog and show them how to make some of the dishes we prepare now. They call me Aunt Gee Gee. Then I will be Great Aunt Gee Gee.

And by the way it's not too late to participate in the Round-up. I will be posting it on April 17th, so everyone has 'til then to send a photo from their seder! I'm going to go tell Elra.

Thanks again,
Lori Lynn

P.S. I'm going on Amazon right now to see if i can ship that game to my brother and sister-in-law. We will play next year !
