Holy crap...The wedding is in less than 3 weeks!
I'm getting into details like -- will the shawl match the tie?
Verdict: No -- bought a new tie.
The food tester extraordinaire (a.k.a Giz...a.k.a Mom) has settled on recipes for the cake and cupcakes.
The larger vases of flowers will be a combination somewhat this (albeit different colours entirely)
I still have a list of things to do that is stressing me out. Plus, R has won a battle - which means that we're going to New York for the weekend (the battle was that I didn't want to go and he did). Not exactly the best timing, if you ask me. But it'll be fun.
In the meantime - here are some muffins I made. Cooking and baking has been pretty minimal for me lately.
The most exciting part of the recipe was that I got to use my new toy. Thanks Giz!

oooh, nice gift!!! I'm excited to see what other wonderful things come of it.
And if you ask me, the shawl and tie do match ;)
My parents gave us one of those for our wedding too & we love it! Enjoy New York look at is as a nice break. We went to Yosemite for a long weekend before our wedding & it was such a nice chance to get away.
Great Gift!! I got a Kenwood for my 40th - not quite the same as a Wedding gift though!! I agree too that the tie and shawl DO match! But what do I know... I'm just a man....
Always looking for new ways to use bananas. You will soon be the big day....my plan for a stress free day.....delegate.
Beautiful new toy you have there. Are we going to see lot more whisking recipe in the future?
How exciting that your wedding is coming soon, hope to see tons of photos.
Your muffins sounds delicious.
These look so much better than the plain little banana I sliced in my cereal this morning ... I would have loved one with my coffee.
Love that flower arrangement ... :)
You will absolutely love the Kitchenaid, I keep mine right on the countertop, could not imagine not having it for those marathon bakes, and the dough hook is a life saver when mixing up bread dough. Great gift Giz!
3 weeks??? Yayyyy! I hope you love your new toy. I use my KA mixer for just about everything. SO handy!
I have the exact KA! TWINSIES!
I was just making oatmeal muffins before reading blogs and here's another recipe I'm going to have to try! (I was making maple-oat but I have yet to taste and see how they are.)
Don't worry, I'm sure everything that needs to get done for the wedding will! (Even if it seems a bit crazy.)
Oh wow less than 3 weeks until the wedding - the big day will soon be here :0)
I hope you will share some wedding pics with us ;0)
Your muffins sound and look delicious.
Oh my gosh...you must be so excited/insane! The shawl is so pretty :) And of course, banana in a bread/muffin, can't go wrong there!
ooo nice gift!! That the model I want. Now you can make all those cupcakes and cakes. This will come handy for frosting!!
Nice new toy!
great picture of these muffins! They look fantastic! So are the butterflies settling in yet??
How exciting for all of you! All your planning sounds wonderful. Love the KA, great gift, flowers are beautiful too. I'm always looking for great muffin recipes, I bookmarked these, thanks!
Three weeks! OMG how crazy exciting! And those muffins are pretty nice too.
Wow! I bet you guys are going crazy around there!
The muffins look fanastic. I love bananas and oats together.
Ohhhh... so the shawl is supposed to match the tie? Good to know. Speaking of matching, why is the tux black and the dress white? That's opposites where I come from :)
Nice banana muffins. I like how they are made in a pinch, and probably might help you destress with the countdown starting. Good luck for the next 3 weeks.
Yeah and get off that couch :)
a new toy, hooray! i like how you broke it in--those are some hearty, healthy, and happy muffins.
now, as my grandmother says, enhance your calm! :)
Kat - Yosemite seems like a more relaxing trip than NY.
Val - definitely delegation is the way to go. There will be several people tasked to make sure that Giz and I don't kill each other.
Bunny - on and off. Mainly just anxiety about the details at this point.
Adam - Are you messing with me? Actually my dress is more golden.
Amazingly enough, it will all get done in less than three weeks!
Take deep breaths...often... ;)
I can't believe it's so close! I hope you're getting really excited and not just frazzled. :)
And nice toy. I still wish I had gotten one as a gift. Good on Giz.
Like you love new toys...very nice! Your muffins look great! Very healthy as well. Great pictures! By the way, thank you so much for visiting my site.
The banana oatmeal muffins look so yummy!
Nice. New. Toy.
Hey I too tried baking muffins and fairy cakes just after my exams got over. I go weak in the knees with a mention of muffins and cakes.
I'm seeking permission to use the photo for a charity recipe book in aid for Brunei Breast Cancer Support Group. Will give credit to photo from this book. Cheers.
Yes -- you can use the photo for the stated purpose.
