WOW - It's hard to believe that we're on another Peanut Butter Exhibition. The Peanut Butter Boy and Foodaphillia have put out the call to all peanut butter junkies to join in once again for the Peanut Butter Exhibition #3 that brings us together around cupcakes and/or cake. Since it's already a well known fact that peanut butter is one of my favourite food groups, how could I not be part of these festivities. I know I saw this recipe somewhere and hand wrote it, but for the life of me, I can't remember where. All I know is that it's a total "kid" pleaser.

Peanut Butter Buttercream Icing

1/2 cup butter

Psychgrad's comment: This video was not my idea. I apologize.
Giz's comment: Clearly we have an issue about who the mother is and who the daughter is here. Psychgrad doesn't share the same whacky sense of humour as her mother. Can you just see her rolling her eyes?

YUM. PB in all its guises is good. . .but frosting?? Amazing.
Oh, and funny video (sorry, Psychgrad).
I'm officially jealous... yum!!!
These sound like a perfect dinner for me.
This cupcakes look pretty "fancy-shmancy" for PB &J as the main ingredients.
I adore the cupcakes, abhor the rapping banana!

Cute video :) Synchronicity ... I was planning on baking a jam cake tomorrow, now I know what frosting to use.
Yum - these look fantastic!
Oh YUM!! What a GREAT idea! these look so good!
P & J cupcakes now there is a classic flavour. Throw in some banana too...with a baseball bat.....
Awesome! Hey, didn't I tell you? I'm now requiring everybody to mail me a batch of cupcakes for judging =).
Man, I remember that video from many years ago. It was (and still is) so odd and random, I think it was one of the original starts to what I call "internet humor", although the Hamster Dance may have been first.
Nick - your shipment is in the mail.
I'm sure these are a total "big kid" pleaser as well!!
Oh my goodness, cupcake heaven.
You have to have the video of peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat. I sing it all the time with my sous chefs!
So I make my "things I'm going to make this week" list on Sundays. Well I must be in tune with the collective unconscious since I swear I keep seeing other people make things with my same ideas. Breakfast this weekend includes peanut butter and jelly muffins...not a far cry from your cupcakes!
Ricki - PB must have a PB Anonymous group somewhere
Nikki - very intense - you can "come back to my house and take them out of the freezer"
Cathy - I do so like the way you think
Peter - did I irritate you...awwwwww
Ohio Mom, That Girl - we'll start a singing group called Synchronicity and do the Stop...in the name of peanut butter routine
Cakelaw - take a swim over - see you in a month
Katie - your mission, if you chose to accept it ....
Val - you're right on the money
Deb - you're right - big kids, little kids, all kids
Krysta - you crack me up - maybe you could sing it for Peter...hahahaha
Goddess - truly heaven
yep, now that song is stuck in my head, and i didn't even play the video. all it takes is seeing the words "peanut butter and jelly" and it comes to mind. :) great cupcakes!
Those look great! Peanut butter muffins stuffed with jam is a favorite of mine.
Do you remember when we were kids and those silver ball cake decorating candies were decided to be dangerous to your health? That was a real load of sh**, yeah?
PB&J and cupcakes makes me happy.
Peanut butter and jelly - I could eat it for days and days straight. I love the look of these cupcakes! And the silver balls are just darling!
that frosting looks superb!
MMMMM! I think I could eat that frosting right out of the bowl!
